Popular Nigerian artiste, Tiwa Savage had a chat with Tobi Amusan on a video call, after the latter won a gold medal at the World Athletics Championships.

 

Tobi Amusan became the first Nigerian to win a gold medal at the world championships with a spirited display in Eugene, Oregon, in the early hours of Monday.

 

It was a night of domination for the Nigerian as she retired Keni Harrison of USA world’s record of 12.20 from 2016 with 12.12 in the semi-final and crowned it up with a wind-aided 12.06 second in the final to crown the effort of a fruitful year.

 

Reacting, Tiwa Savage took to Instagram on Monday evening to applaud Amusan on the feat.

 

In the video uploaded on her instastory, The Somebody’s son hitmaker who could not hold back her excitement stated that she cannot wait to meet Tobi.

“Thank you, thank you. God bless you. Any support, anything, I’m with you 100%. I’m so happy for you and I can’t wait to meet you,” Tiwa said in parts as she gushed over Tobi.

Tobi also appreciated the singer for her support, adding that she feels humbled having a conversation with the award-winning singer.
