In what appears to be a sad tale, the popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido has lost yet another friend, Tommy, to the cold hands of death.
Davido who was shattered beyond words by the unfortunate development took to his Instagram story to share a video of him and his late friend, Tommy where he wished him a happy birthday a few years back.
Tommy’s death comes as a shock to many as he made a post on his Instagram page some hours ago before the disturbing news and this has brought the total number 6 friends he has lost within 6 years.

Still in the news, here are the other friends he had lost.
- If you can recall, Davido lost his friend, Tagbo Umeike, on October 4, 2017. The young man died after taking more than 10 Tequila shots on his 35th birthday. The interim autopsy reports revealed that Tagbo died of Asphyxia (Suffocation).
- Three days after the death of Tagbo, Davido’s DJ, DJ Olu was found dead in a BMW car in a garage on Block B, Banana Island, Lagos alongside a friend identified as Chime Amaechi.
- Davido’s friend ‘King Jhafi’ passed away on, April 6, 2020. Davido took to his Instagram page to mourn the death of his friend, however, the cause of his death was not stated.
- Davido’s friend and long-term bodyguard, Ogbeide Tijani Olamilekan ‘TJ’ died in December 2020 after battling a brief illness. Before his death, he was an active member of the 30BG crew.
- Obama DMW, the road manager and personal assistant to Davido, died of suspected heart failure on June 29.
